Modify token settings
Token settings control the API Key's display name, enablement status, and usage scope. Consoles deployed in different deployments may open different fields, and the actual display on the page shall prevail.
Common changeable fields
- Name: used to distinguish the purpose of the Key.
- Status: enabled or disabled.
- Restrictions: Set the calling scope according to the console's open capabilities.
- Notes: Record the client, project or person in charge.
When does it need to be modified?
- The Key name is unclear and the purpose cannot be determined.
- A client is no longer used.
- Suspect Key leakage.
- It is necessary to separately count the usage of different tools.
Recommended practices
When creating a Key, clearly indicate its purpose, such as codex-laptop, claude-code-server. When troubleshooting problems later, you can directly filter usage records by Key.
